Ophthalmologist in Dearborn
I have been practicing in Dearborn for over 35 years. As a young physician and eye surgeon, I had the good fortune to join the Eye Surgery Institute, a very well known, progressive and respected practice ophthalmic medical practice.
I have been blessed to get to know several generations of patients. Patients who underwent the latest technique in cataract surgery in the 1980’s referred their children for Radial Keratotomy who now send their children for Epi-lasek (LASEK) surgery. I still perform cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery.
As a Detroit native, I attended University of Michigan and Wayne State University as an undergraduate, then Wayne State Medical School. My Ophthalmology residency was done at Kresge Eye Institute. I am a founding member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. I am a pioneer in refractive surgery and folding implants.
Free Time and Family
I spend part of my winters in Florida, golfing (26 handicap) and playing poker. My favorite game is Texas Hold Em. I have read many books and studied this game and consider myself a fairly good player. I am a board member of the Friends of Modern Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
I have been married for over 45 years. I have three sons. Jeremy, is a genius chef who owns Yardbird Restaurant in Keego Harbor. He smokes his own meats and creates the best barbecue in town. My second son is an attorney and lives with his wife and four children in Illinois. My youngest is a psychiatrist working in Ann Arbor with the VA and teaching at the Medical School.
Thanks for visiting and hope to see you soon.
